The Columbiana Church of
Christ is a Christ centered congregation of God's people. We are
located in Columbiana, Alabama. Faithful Christians have been meeting in
Columbiana since April 11, 1976. The first assembly was a Wednesday evening
Bible study held at the Columbiana Recreation Center with nineteen precious
souls present. The following Sunday, for worship service, Jim Smith made
the announcements. James Windham led the singing and John Kivette led the
opening prayer. The Lord’s Supper was served by J. W. Ross and James
Windham. Jim Foster, an elder from Shades Mountain Church in Birmingham,
gave a short talk of encouragement to the new congregation. Dan Jenkins,
the minister from Shades Mountain, delivered the first sermon. Lester
Wright, of Shades Mountain, led the closing prayer. The seed sown that day
and thereafter continues to reproduce and have a positive influence for
righteousness. Sin continues to be revealed and rebuked while love, faith,
grace, and forgiveness are proclaimed and encouraged. God continues to
bless this congregation with spiritual and numerical growth.

Christians first at Antioch."
